Research Areas: Immunology of tropical infectious and non-infectious diseases

Research activities are on immune responses across all age groups including (babies, pregnant mothers) and tropical diseases. The laboratory has also related nutritional status and social life with immune responses. Presently the laboratory’s research interest is on immuno-genetic studies, epigenetics and microbiomes in tuberculosis patients, cancer patients, asthma patients and those exposed to household air pollution/pesticides. Vaccine specific immune responses in helminth infected children and pregnant mothers are also in-progress.
