Department of Immunology is working on different topics, mainly in immunology of Type I and Type II Diabetes, Behcet Disease, Primary Immunodeficiency, Natural Killer & Innate Lymphoid cells and their role in allergic and autoimmune diseases. Our aim is better understanding of our immune system using molecular, cell biological and immunological techniques and is centered around NK cells and T cells which play an important role regulating the immune response. We also aim at developing and evaluating new diagnostic and prognostic approaches for pediatric leukaemias (B- and T-ALL) using high-end multi-colour flow cytometry.
