The main focus of my research group is to identify predictive markers of clinical outcomes in TB-infected humans as well as to identify prevention of disease (POD) vaccine candidate(s). Within the Institut Pasteur International Network, we were involved in a consortium to evaluate the potential interest of a new interferon gamma release assay (IGRA) test for the diagnosis of latent pulmonary TB. On another hand, extrapulmonary TB, mainly lymphadenitis, represents currently a major public health problem in Tunisia. We were funded to develop/evaluate new diagnostic tools (IHC and IGRA) in the context of TB lymphadenitis as well as to identify biomarkers for diagnosis of TB lymphadenitis.
